Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index gains 2.46%, NIFTY Crashes 1.11%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 2.46% at 8294.1 today. The index has slipped 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Union Bank of India rose 5.25%, Punjab National Bank gained 4.82% and Bank of Baroda jumped 3.39%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 9.00% over last one year compared to the 10.97% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index has dropped 1.85% and Nifty Financial Services index has slid 1.58% on the day.
