Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index gains 3.92%

Nifty IT index closed up 3.92% at 31924.1 today. The index has gained 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Tech Mahindra Ltd added 8.48%, Wipro Ltd jumped 5.95% and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd gained 4.89%. The Nifty IT index has fallen 10.00% over last one year compared to the 9.53% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index gained 1.92% and Nifty Services Sector index increased 1.62% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.65% to close at 23146.15 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.56% to close at 74729.27 today.
