Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index records a surge of 1.07%

Nifty Metal index ended up 1.07% at 13317.45 today. The index has added 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, APL Apollo Tubes Ltd jumped 4.20%, Welspun Corp Ltd fell 2.55% and Tata Steel Ltd gained 2.49%. The Nifty Metal index has increased 38.00% over last one year compared to the 3.38% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has slid 0.90% and Nifty Pharma index has slid 0.68% on the day.
