Jindal Steel Ltd eases for fifth straight session

Jindal Steel Ltd fell for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 1003.2, down 5.45% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 1.59% on the day, quoting at 22243.65. The Sensex is at 71660.41, down 1.35%.Jindal Steel Ltd has eased around 12.5% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Jindal Steel Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 11.3% in last one month and is currently quoting at 12306.7, down 3.48% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 6.78 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 9.49 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 1004.4, down 5.59% on the day. Jindal Steel Ltd tumbled 3.57% in last one year as compared to a 11.67% slide in NIFTY and a 14.7% spurt in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 31.13 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
