Union Bank of India spurts 2.72%, up for third straight session

Union Bank of India rose for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 173.02, up 2.72% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.53% on the day, quoting at 22655.35. The Sensex is at 72816.45, down 0.34%. Union Bank of India has dropped around 5.57% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which Union Bank of India is a constituent, has dropped around 3.01% in last one month and is currently quoting at 55128.4, down 0.1% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 84.54 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 79.81 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 173.97, up 3.27% on the day. Union Bank of India is up 27.2% in last one year as compared to a 9.55% fall in NIFTY and a 1.69% fall in the Nifty Bank index.

The PE of the stock is 6.45 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
