Oil India Ltd slips for fifth straight session

Oil India Ltd dropped for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 440, down 1.93% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 1.26% on the day, quoting at 22335.35. The Sensex is at 71635.88, down 1.17%.Oil India Ltd has lost around 11.67% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Oil India Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 4.51% in last one month and is currently quoting at 36636, down 0.88% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 10.27 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 23.32 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 440.4, down 2.06% on the day. Oil India Ltd jumped 6.1% in last one year as compared to a 10.28% slide in NIFTY and a 2.65% spurt in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 11.17 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
