GPT Infraprojects jumps 2.00% as subsidiary secures ZAR 660 million railway sleeper contract

GPT Infraprojects Ltd. is currently trading at Rs 120.71, up 2.00%, while the stock has risen 6.33% over the last week.

GPT Infraprojects Limited announced that its subsidiary, GPT Concrete Products South Africa (Pty) Limited, has secured an international contract valued at ZAR 660 million (approximately Rs 385 Crores plus VAT) from Transnet Freight Rail, South Africa, for the manufacture and supply of railway concrete sleepers over a five-year period. The order, which does not involve any related party transactions, brings the company's total outstanding order book to Rs 5,377 Crore, with a fiscal 2027 order inflow of Rs 1,203 Crore.

Trading volume reached 6.38 lakh shares today, a surge of 485.28% compared to the average volume of the last one week. GPT Infraprojects Ltd edged up by 6.46% year-over-year, outperforming the 8.09% loss in the NIFTY50 index.
