Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index gains 1.66%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 1.66% at 26549.6 today. The index has gained 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wockhardt Ltd added 5.47%, Laurus Labs Ltd gained 3.99% and Divis Laboratories Ltd jumped 3.85%. The Nifty Pharma index has soared 22.00% over last one year compared to the 9.18% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty MNC index gained 1.57% and Nifty Private Bank index added 1.41% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.98% to close at 22776.1 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.95% to close at 73067.81 today.
