Asian Paints appoints Leo Puri as Additional Director and future Chairman, effective dates pending

Asian Paints announced the appointment of Leo Puri as an Additional and Independent Director, effective September 7, 2026, for a term of five years, subject to shareholder approval. Additionally, the Board appointed Leo Puri as Chairman, effective January 23, 2027, succeeding R. Seshasayee, whose term as Chairman concludes on January 22, 2027; this appointment is also subject to shareholder approval. Leo Puri, 65, currently serves as Advisory India Chair at Apax and holds board positions at Fortis Healthcare Limited, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, and Amadeus IT Group, and previously held leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase, UTI Asset Management Company Limited, Warburg Pincus, and McKinsey & Company.
