Power Grid Corporation acquired Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission for Rs 12.86 crore via bidding

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has acquired Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited for approximately Rs 12.86 crore, including 50,000 equity shares at par, under a tariff-based competitive bidding process to establish an inter-state transmission system for augmentation at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS and Kanpur (PG) on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis, as announced on July 29, 2026. The acquisition, facilitated by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (REC PDCL), involves bay extension works at substations in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, and will require approvals from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.
