Gold sees lax moves on last session of 2023

COMEX Gold futures eased after nearing $2100 per ounce mark yesterday as last session of the year saw very thin moves. Prices had neared the record high territory as weakness in the US dollar boosted the yellow metal. The US dollar index had dipped this week, adding to recent string of losses as dropping US treasury yields weighed on the currency. Markets are pricing a reduction in the US interest rates over coming months. The US dollar index slumped under 101 mark yesterday and currently lingers around the same. COMEX Gold futures are currently quoting at $2080 per ounce.
