Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index gains 3.37%, NIFTY climbs 2.05%

Nifty IT index ended up 3.37% at 35169.9 today. The index has gained 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Wipro Ltd rose 5.11%, Tech Mahindra Ltd added 4.57% and Persistent Systems Ltd gained 4.22%. The Nifty IT index has soared 23.00% over last one year compared to the 24.98% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index gained 2.56% and Nifty Infrastructure index gained 2.40% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 2.05% to close at 23290.15 while the SENSEX increased 2.16% to close at 76693.36 today.
